I have worked in a range of allied health and natural health clinics as a Remedial Massage therapist, then later as a Sports Myotherapist, since 2014. I have been operating my own business in South-East Queensland since 2015.
In 1998, I began to lose my vision, caused by a rare genetic juvinille disease called Stargardt’s Disorder, also known as Macular Degeneration/Dystrophy. During my highschool years, I competed with Riding for the Disabled Association Australia, winning NSW State Dressage Champion in 2002 and 2003.
By the time I was fifteen, I was legally blind, but was blessed to receive my first Guide Dog, Hector in 2005 when I finished highschool. As a result, I became more active in ParaSports Australia, training in a rowing squad in Penrith to qualify for the 2008 Beijing Paralympics. Although our squad was not selected, the experience was invaluable.
In 2013 I started my jouney to become a massage therapist, obtaining my Diploma of Remedial Massage in 2014, then my Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy in 2015. I love helping people reach their health goals, and giving people back their quality oflife so that they can do the things they love and enjoy, pain free.
I have worked with elite athletes, including members of the Australian Olympic Swim Team, members of the mens and women’s Australian National Rowing Team, National Champion and competitive Powerlifters, semi-professional cyclists, runners, AFL/QAFL players, and weekend warriors alike.
